ABOUT
Pera Museum was established by Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation in 2005 in Tepebaşı to provide quality and wide-scale cultural and artistic services and to exhibit three private collections belonging to the foundation. In the Pera Museum, there are areas such as museum floors, multi-purpose exhibition halls, auditorium, Pera education room and PeraCafe where collections are exhibited. Among the permanent exhibitions you can see at the Pera Museum are the Orientalist Painting Collection, the Anatolian Weights and Measures Collection, which presents examples of weights and measurement units used in Anatolia from ancient times to the present, the Kütahya Tiles and Ceramics Collection and the Photography Collection. The works of Osman Hamdi Bey, who is named as the only local orientalist in the Orientalist Painting Collection, and the famous Tortoise Trainer painting are also on display at the Pera Museum.
